Conspiracy Theory: "Frozen" And "Tangled"
Hello everyone! It has become apparent to me that Frozen and Tangled are set in the same universe. This has been confirmed, and it has also been confirmed that the sea voyage that the king and queen of Arandel take is actually a trip to their neighboring kingdom Corona, to Rapunzel's wedding.
But the king and queen of Arandel wouldn't go to any old wedding, even if it was close (probably) especially if the queen was pregnant. This means the king and queen of Corona and the king and queen in Frozen probably know each other pretty well. But what is the core of this relationship?
I believe it may be Elsa, Rapunzel's fraternal twin sister. Yes, you read that right. I DO believe Elsa and Anna are not actually related, but rather Elsa and Rapunzel are.
The main theory line goes that in Corona, the queen eats a stew made from the magic flower, and has twin baby girls. One has magic hair that reacts to Mother Gothel's song. This is why Mother Gothel steals away that one, Rapunzel, but not the other one, Elsa. Mother Gothel doesn't get a chance to find out Elsa's powers because she has to act fast to kidnap Rapunzel. The upset king and queen of Corona send Elsa to Arandel, to live with the royal family there, to protect her from the same fate as Rapunzel. But the king and queen of Arandel, though obviously briefed on the nature of her powers (If they weren't, they'd probably be more scared or alarmed of her; perhaps try to cure her, or at least be not so chill about the situation), find themselves unable to raise Elsa properly without revealing the nature of her powers to the whole world (since Elsa can't control them), so they lock her away, and... you know the rest of the story. Or DO you?
"This theory is Nuts!" You might be thinking. Well, it turns out that there is a ton of evidence for Elsa and Rapunzel being twins. For one, they're both the same age. In Tangled, Rapunzel is 18, and when the main story of Frozen begins, the screen tells us it has been three years since the death of the royal couple of Arandel. But they wrecked on their way to Corona, for Rapunzel's wedding, when she's 18. And in Frozen we find out Elsa is 21 when she is coranated, three years after the shipwreck. So when the adventure happens in Frozen, Elsa is 21, but three years after Rapunzel's wedding means she would also be 21. So Elsa and Rapunzel are both about exactly the same age.
To further the evidence, Elsa and Rapunzel are both left-handed, and it just so happens that the few screenshots of queen Tangled, we see she also appears to be left-handed. And most of the other characters in this universe's story line are right-handed. Mother Gothel, Eugene, Anna, and it looks like probably king and queen Frozen are all right handed. so if Rapunzel and Elsa are both left-handed, which they are, and so is queen Tangled, it would make sense genetically that Rapunzel and Elsa could be related.
In addition, their power sets are more similar than you think. While each one may have their own upgrades to their powers (Rapunzel's is healing hair that activates with a song; and Elsa's is wild ice magic), their power, at its core, is giving life. Rapunzel can heal and resurrect dead people, and Elsa can thaw and undo her ice spells, and can also give snowmen life, like in the case Olaf and Marshmallow. Their power sets are almost twins, just like themselves. Because their powers both came from the same power-flower!
So their DNA, ages, powers, and stories themselves are the same at their core.
So maybe in Frozen 2 or some future Disney movie they will be reunited. The only question is: where was Rapunzel when Elsa Froze everything? She was there, and so was Eugene, so...
Thanks for reading and until next time...goodbye!
